Job Responsibilities
- Define and lead the technology vision, architecture, and roadmap for the enterprise e-commerce platform to ensure scalability, performance, and resilience.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the e-commerce platform, ensuring uptime, stability, and seamless integration with backend systems (ERP, CRM, OMS, Payment, Logistics).
- Design and govern platform architecture, APIs, and microservices to support omnichannel retail, mobile applications, and future business models.
- Ensure the platform meets IT security, data privacy, and regulatory standards, embedding cybersecurity practices and risk management into all processes.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies (cloud-native solutions, AI-driven personalization, automation, DevOps practices) to enhance platform capability and competitiveness.
- Lead evaluation, selection, and management of technology partners, SaaS vendors, and solution providers to deliver cost-effective and scalable solutions.
- Build and lead cross-functional IT teams covering platform engineering, infrastructure, DevOps, security, and digital operations.
- Establish ITIL/DevOps best practices for monitoring, incident response, root-cause analysis, and continuous service improvement.
- Oversee integration of analytics, BI tools, and data pipelines to support business insights and decision-making.
- Manage IT budgets, resource allocation, and cost optimization for platform-related initiatives.
Experience requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 12+ years of experience in IT/digital technology, with at least 5 years leading enterprise-scale e-commerce or digital platforms.
- Strong expertise in cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP), web technologies, and enterprise architecture.
- Proven experience in system integration (ERP, CRM, OMS, WMS, POS, payment gateways, logistics platforms).
- Deep knowledge of IT security, data governance, and compliance frameworks (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR, PDPA).
- Hands-on experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and API management.
- Demonstrated success in managing large IT teams and external vendors/partners.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; capable of troubleshooting complex technical issues at scale.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to bridge business and IT requirements.
- Experience in retail or consumer-facing digital platforms strongly preferred.
