R&D Team Lead

Our client has more than 40 years of expertise in the cosmetics sector, they offer high-quality products that emphasize innovation, cleanliness, convenience, and reliability. This position is responsible for leading the research and development of skincare formulations, ensuring product innovation, quality, regulatory compliance, and scalability for production. The role involves managing a team of formulation chemists and collaborating closely with departments such as Production, Quality Assurance, Marketing, and Procurement.

• Lead the formulation and development of skincare products including cleansers, serums, creams, lotions, and sunscreens.
• Manage R&D projects from concept through pilot testing to full-scale production, ensuring timelines and quality standards.
• Research and evaluate new ingredients and raw materials, staying current with trends and innovations in skincare science.
• Oversee product testing for stability, compatibility, and performance to support product claims and ensure reliability.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and manage documentation for product registration and approvals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production challenges and support process scale-up.
• Supervise and mentor R&D staff, fostering team development and technical excellence.

• At least 5 years of experience in R&D within the cosmetics, skincare, or personal care industry.
• Proven experience in product formulation, ingredient knowledge, and regulatory compliance in the cosmetic industry.
• Strong understanding of cosmetic science, safety protocols, and testing methodologies.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
